B.L. Spencer is a fantasy author from Melbourne,

Australia. Their journey into writing began at age 33,

when a diagnosis of ADHD provided the focus needed

to bring their stories to life.

Silentwhisper, their debut novel, is a reflection of their

own experiences with doubt, guilt, shame, and the

search for belonging. Spencer is passionate about

writing queer characters because the queer

community provided them with a safe space to be

themselves. Through their fantasy worlds, they explore

the universal themes of living behind masks and the

courage it takes to remove them.
